Twin Cities Women’s Choir

General info

  • Rehearsals are every Wednesday from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Hennepin Ave United Methodist Church in downtown Minneapolis. The address is 511 Groveland Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

  • We have occasional (monthly) Saturday morning rehearsals.

  • This is a non audition choir. You are welcome to come and listen or participate before making the decision to join the choir.

  • We also have Misc. sectionals rehearsals held at section leaders houses or online, throughout the season. These are optional, but usually a BLAST! Good food, friendship, and a deep dive into the music & community.

  • There is no fee to participate, however, we encourage you to help us offset costs by donating to the choir. We suggest a contribution of $720/year or $60/month (12-months) but we understand that may not be feasible for everyone. No one is turned away due to financial ability. We fully honor and recognize all contributions, including your time.

  • Winter/Spring 2024 Rehearsal Schedule:

    Rehearsal Start Date: Wednesday, January 10, 2024; 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

    Rehearsal End Date: Wednesday, May 8, 2024; 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

    Tech Rehearsal & Concert Dates:

    • Thursday, May 2, 2024; 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Tech Rehearsal)

    • Friday, May 3, 2024; 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm (Concert)

    • Saturday, May 4, 2024; 4pm - 5:30 pm (Concert)


  • Year End Party: Friday, May 10, 2024; 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Commitment

  • We ask that you miss no more than two rehearsals for each major concert and miss no rehearsals during the month prior to a concert. If you are going to miss you must contact your section leader ahead of time to let them know of your absence.

  • All members, regardless of donation level, are asked to help in spreading the word about our performances, participate in fundraising activities, and to volunteer.

Our members live all over the Twin Cities and we celebrate a diversity of ages, ethnicities, incomes, backgrounds, sexual orientations, religious beliefs, and abilities. Members join together to build community through music. Come get to know us!

COVID-19 Guidelines

Her Voice Productions follows the CDC's latest guidelines regarding COVID-19, which no longer requires but continues to recommend universal masking under specific circumstances, including in work units or areas of a facility experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, the CDC no longer requires testing or proof of vaccination, which Her Voice Productions follows.
